My sister and I visited River House several years ago.  To this day, memories of its natural beauty and respite from the hustle and bustle of my normal life, evoke a sense of inner peace.

The guest houses are each uniquely situated with water, meadow and mountain views that just don’t quit.  Interior spaces of our ‘cabin’  were comfortable and cozy; yet designed in a way for a couple, family, or friends to enjoy both privacy and gather. 

It was an easy walk to the Main House, where the backdrop of gorgeous river and mountain views create a tranquil vibe. 

The house itself is spectacular, with a discerning mix of social and private spaces.  Games, movie-watching, pool and more, with technology for connections…a kitchen designed for one or several cooks at once… expansive living and dining rooms are the ‘heart’ of the Main House.  Bedrooms, bathrooms, hobby spaces and more were inviting and made this home, despite its nearly 10,000 SF, feel warm and intimate. 

While we limited our brief stay to visiting, short hikes and ATV’s to see the extent of acreage, we left regretting not having time enough to fully engage in fishing and other activities that are part of the ‘River House lifestyle’ – and totally understanding the allure and unlimited possibilities of this unique world within a world.
